Dental Bonding: A Complete Overview

What is Dental Bonding?
Dental bonding is a procedure in which a tooth-colored resin is applied and hardened to repair or improve the appearance of a tooth.

What Problems Can it Correct?

  • Chipped or cracked teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Discolored teeth
  • Misshapen teeth

How is it Performed?
The tooth surface is lightly etched, the resin is applied and shaped, then hardened with a special light and polished to match the surrounding teeth.

Advantages
Bonding is one of the least expensive cosmetic procedures and typically requires only one office visit.

Is it Right for Me?
Bonding is ideal for minor cosmetic corrections. Your dentist can help determine if it's the right solution for your needs.
