What is a Root Canal?

Common Causes for Root Canals
Root canals are often needed due to deep decay, repeated dental procedures on a tooth, a cracked or chipped tooth, or injury to the tooth.

How Are Root Canals Performed?
During the procedure, the infected or damaged pulp is removed, the inside of the tooth is cleaned and disinfected, then filled and sealed.

Recovery from Root Canal
Most patients experience mild soreness for a few days after the procedure, which can typically be managed with over-the-counter pain relief.

If you're experiencing tooth pain, contact Bolivar Family Dental to schedule an evaluation with Dr. Paul Gonzales.
